Curriculum Development The curriculum was developed by the faculty members on the basis of an organized framework from which course objectives and learning activities flow in a logical progression over the length of the program. The length of the program is designed to enable students to achieve program objectives and acquire knowledge, skills, values, and competencies necessary for the provision of healthcare services.
This program is designed to provide students with the theory and skills required to practice as Licensed Practical Nurses in health care settings and community agencies. The curriculum progresses from simple to complex nursing applications.

     

:The total curriculum includes a minimum of 1500 hours offered within a time period of twelve to fourteen months. Forty  percent of the total curriculum, including lecture, is theoretical and the remaining sixty percent consists of clinical experiences. Classroom content includes biological, social sciences and nursing subjects. The laboratory practicum provides a learning environment for students to practice and master nursing skills in a simulation of various health care settings. Clinical experiences are planned in medical, surgical, pediatric, psychiatric, maternal and geriatric nursing at local hospitals, nursing homes and health care centers.

 
 

The duration is twelve months divided into four levels. Classes are held from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm during the week and clinical begins at 7:00 am.
